Well, June is winding down, and I haven't finished the challenge either! But it looks like we might have some late entries from THIS thread in the patterns forum. Yay!

Okay, here's my completed project!! I made my African-American niece Jeynaba a pillow with her name on it, and the number 5 since she turned 5 in May.

She loves it!

I didn't tell her anything about Juneteenth, but I told her mom, my sister, who I thought might want to celebrate it.

I used a bunch of crochet granny squares, with a knit center panel with color work.
