Brilliant idea!
I DID think of it! I swear! When I cleaned out my own needle stash, I nonchalantly told DH "man.. a knitting consignment shop would ROCK".

Then I saw a butterfly flutter by and I forgot what I was saying.

When I clicked on the www.taraknit.com link, it went to a page that said "the domain taraknit.com may be for sale". What did I do wrong???

Thanks, knitcindy

That post is from 2005, maybe the site doesn't exist any more.

To the poster wanting to sell used knitting needles - also try Craigslist if you don't want to deal with shipping that will likely be involved when selling on ebay. I've gotten rid of a lot of stuff, craft and other, that way.

You didn't do anything wrong. The original post is 6 yrs old so more than likely the link has changed or is no longer selling.

sears needles

I have a set of Sears interchangeable circular needles that i bought back in the mid-70's. They came in a blue and green folder, with size 6-11 tips and 5 cables of differing lengths. The cables are much thicker than on sets i have since bought (knitpicks harmonies for example), but are quite flexible. It includes screw-on caps to keep the stitches from sliding off if you want to use the needles but keep another project on the cables. there is a paper inside that reads: This is kit no.5791. There is a size 10-1/2 needle included--don't see that very often-- linknit41

Sears also used to sell their own brand of yarn too, as did Kmart and Woolworth's, and SS Kresge which became Walmart. You can still buy yarn from Kmart online, not their brand anymore, but different brands.
