Purl1/Knit1 Bind Off?
I can't for the life of me figure out how to reverse Amy's directions on k1p1, in order to bind off in p1k1. Can anyone help?

Oh that's easy. You just maintain the K1, P1, while you maintain the K1, P1. Just remember to move the yarn from front to back between knits and purls as you normally would.

Like this:

k1, yarn fwd

p1, yarn back

slip the knit st over the purl st as you would w/ a normal BO.

K1, yarn fwd

slip the purl st over the knit st as you would w/ a normal BO.

P1, yarn back

slip the knit st over the purl st as you would w/ a normal BO.

K1, yarn fwd

slip the purl st over the knit st,

Etc ... Good Luck!

I just did this for the first time myself. The thing that helped me was from Stitch 'n Bitch - it said that if you are working in pattern it is best to bind off in pattern as well, all you need to remember is that if you have just completed a knit stitch, you bind off knitwise (ie. with the yarn in back) and if you have just completed a purl stitch, you bind off purlwise (ie. with the yarn in front).

Good luck.

Thanks bunches! I bound off your way instead of worrying about Amy's way-- it looks great. Now off to do the seams. Woohoo!
