Hilde...I was thinking of casting on the hat today, but then I saw the gauge and it won't work for the yarn I have. Ok, it COULD work, but I would have to figure out the modifications, and I really don't feel like doing that right now. Did you come across any other "bucket" hat patterns?

Hilde, I just love love the striped hat that you first showed in this thread. You did not find anything like it yet, did you? Where did you get the original picture from?

Kemp, I can probablly help you figure out the math to change it so your yarn works for thathat.

WFY, I got that picture from, of all places, EBAY!!!!!!! Isn't it gorgeous! When I saw it I thought "I should get that--NO, I should KNIT THAT!!!!!!!!"-- and now I'm sorry that i didn't bid on it, because it's become this fantastical ideal that I will never be able to recreate....

Still havent' started my hat yet  I just have too much OTN already....

I think that Kemp should leave her hat "as is" without the stiffy, it has such a definite 'look' to it forgive me, could NOT resist!

I was thinking about hats for the September KH Challenge, so they would be ready for cooler whether in October and November. In fact, I've got september, october AND november ideas, but nothing for august... hmmm....
