Crochet Trim- New question!

I need help with crocheting the trim for a halter top I just finished knitting. Does anyone know of a good online source for this? I just can't figure it out. I have to slip the hook into the stitch on the needle, yarn over and pull up a loop then sc across pulling the stitches off the needle. What I'm doing doesn't look right. Please help! Thanks.

Couldnt you just bind off the knitting & then single-crochet into the BO sts? It sounds too complicated to involve the knitting needle.....

I don't know. This is my first project so I don't know what can or can't be done. But that does sound a lot easier than what this pattern calls for!

I would go with Kelly's idea, too. I've never seen a pattern call for what your's does and I don't see he benefit.

Thanks! So you think I'll be able to sc around the entire body? Is that how garments are usually trimmed?

I'm working on a sweater that calls for a crochet edge. Bind off the stitches, sew it up and sc along the neck edge.

I think that could be done for pretty much any pattern.
