I know the instructions for twisted rib say to knit into the back of the stitch, instead of the front. That sounds incredibly easy, and yet...
When I do what I think it means to do, it's not working. I simply have to "see" things done in order to get it. Does anyone know of a link anywhere that has a picture of this stitch being done?
I don't know of a link, but maybe if I describe it, that'll help.
Just insert your right needle in the the next stitch, from right to left as if you're going to purl, but bring the right needle behind the left needle. Wrap your yarn as usual and knit the stitch off.

Rebecca, no apologies necessary. The picture below the video (or where it will soon be ), along with Ingrid's directions, is clear enough for me to "get it".
