Oh I LOVE the kitty bed!!!

I'll try to make a few things sometime soon. You guys are so great for thinking of the shelters and rescue groups.

AMY that looks GREAT!!! And, Ms. Coo looks QUITE content.

Im wondering if I shouldnt double up the yarn on the sides of that baby...do you think they might stand up better?

I LOVE that you blocked it on a pot...Al has a turkey fryer....I mean kitty bed blocker....that just might work!

OK, here's what I have done of my pillow/bed... I had to reknit again, because my boys wanted to play knights or something, and my needles apparently looked better than the hundreds of toys they have laying around Boys, sheesh, what are ya gonna do...
The yarn is a nice fuzzy boucle, great for snuggling but I am so done trying to pick up stitches with it...
There seems to be waaay too much yarn left over - I may have to make two.
There was a bit on the news about how the shelter is almost out of money, I'm gonna get some kitty food and litter for them, too. It'll just be a drop in the bucket, but every little bit helps, right?

That's a GREAT idea! Make sure you ask what KIND of food they use first...shelters usually try to keep everyone on the same diet, to avoid as many upset tummies as they can...

Lots of shelters can also use laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, towels, bleach, paper towels, toilet paper....you can't even IMAGINE what it takes to keep those places clean!!

I used to work at a kennel...
(need a holding your nose smilie)
I checked their website, and they said they'd rather have the cash donation than the food itself, just for that reason...makes me a little because the food and stuff I was going to get doesn't cost that much...but, I know even a little bit helps...

I found something else to knit for this knitalong :
click

I'm thinking of filling it with cotton balls and some catnip. The only spare yarn that I have at the moment is a lime color, so that'll be one strange looking kitty!

Well - I bit the 'ol bullet and gave 'ol Smokey the benefit of the doubt. Smoke, the old wise cat, has taken a liking to upper left hand corner of the bed, so I figured I make him a blanky from some stash. I finished his blanky and fluffled it all nice for him in his cozy little corner...

Well - now Smokey doesn't seem to like that corner anymore. It appears (as evident from newly formed cat hair blotch) that Smokey has confenscated the lower left corner of the bed as his new resting spot.

*sigh*
