I made my own needle case, details here.

It's unique in that it's got several rows for needles, and the back row can accomodate short DPN's, or tall needles, because each slot has a shallow and a deep pocket.

I love the homemade needle cases! Do you have patterns for those? It would be nice to make them exactly how you would like them, but I have no imagination for sewing any more than I do knitting. What kind of material did you use? Do you have a certain type, like upholstery material, or cotton with filler?

I sort of used the pattern from SNB. this is what I came up with....the only "mistakes" I made, were that I should have left some wider channels for fatter needles, and I hate hate hate my close that I picked...I plan on removing it and putting something mo betta on the end.

I don't know why you hate any part of it, KitKat. I love it!

I have an old Tupperware rolling pin that I store my regular needles in that works great. You know, the plastic hollow one that has a screw on cap to hold water. You could probably find one at a goodwill or some other consignment store. Think I'm going to make one for the circular tho.

Thanks, its just because its really cheapo ribbon and its already falling apart. Plus, I would like the connector to be at the end so you can in fact roll it up. I do love my flamingers though!!!!

I saw in the new Vogue mag a case for needles, yarn, magazines, etc. that is supposed to hang on the wall. But the company doesn't have it on its website, at least not that I can find. I thought that would be cool--decorative but out of the way. Especially since I can't really keep my supplies sitting out because of my cats!
