OT: My PC has a Ghost
I was typing a question in the Q&A forum... When I attempted to switch back the the General Knitting forum, my Internet Explorer started opening up a Bazillion (that's a bunch) pages.... I couldn't stop the windows from opening... My PC finally turned itself off all by itself!!!

Be careful of the Internet Ghost.....

 That actually sounds like a browser hijacking. If I were you, I would clear out the cache, cookies, temp folders, and then run your spybot(free), ad-aware, or whatever spyware program you have. I suspect this will keep happening unless you do so. And for god's sakes man.. leave internet explorer alone and go get yourself Firefox.

IE has the WORST vulnerabilities I have ever seen. It's garbage.

I would also concur with Aby's diagnosis.... it sounds like you have browser hijack. It's not a bad idea to have 2 spyware programs and one updated anti-virus as well. And update and run then often.
