Need help with Cable Knitting Instructions
Hi, I will admit up front that I am not a knitter - I do crochet. My sister is a full-time R.V.'r and she called to ask me a question. I told her I would try to find an answer for her and let her know.

She is doing a cable pattern. The instructions are CR CL. She said usually on a cable she puts 4 sitches on a cable holder and thinks these term may be cable right and cable left, but the sample stiches in her pattern book do not include these abbreviations. Can you help interpert what they mean?

I would go with Cable Right and Cable Left. Between the differences in UK/USA terminology, and changes in translation, all abbreviations are not necessarily included in every book.
