Help! Attempting to knit a loose-fitting pullover with lacy peplum, bodice and sleeve cuffs ---- Pattern states to cast on 68 st and work st. st for 5 1/2 " which is fine - then to begin lace patter it reads:

Row 1 (RS) K1, work lace pat 1 over next 16 st. (which is ssk, yo) K1, work lace pat 2 over next 16 st. (which is Yo, k2to), work lace pat 1 over next 16 st., (ssk, yo) k1, work lace pat 2 over next 16 st, k1. Cont. in pats as established until piece measures 10". Problem is it works fine for the first row, but then i've got too many stitches, i'm yo twice as much as i'm k2to? What am I doing wrong?

Don't forget the SSK. This is also a decrease, which is the mirror image of K2TOG.
