Any spinners out there?
Are there any spinners in the group? One of these days I'm going to learn how to spin! I even have some alpaca wool (that I'm still cleaning out before I wash it, yuck!) that I want to spin.

I'm not a spinner yet, but I'm determined to become one within the next several weeks (I'm taking a class at my LYS starting this Sunday!)

We are heading to the Fryburg fair this afternoon... hoping to visit with some spinners there. Last year there was a gentleman that made a wheel for his wife and ended up getting many orders for them while his wife demonstrated how smoothly it worked.

Welcome Anne!

I'm an amateur spinner. It's great fun!

There's a thread kicking around here on how to make your own drop spindle from a CD and a dowel.

There's also a fabulous website, probably the closest site to KH that exists (thankfully it's on another topic!), with a ton of great videos on how to spin! www.joyofhandspinning.com Enjoy!

That alpaca yarn sounds yummy!

I'm a newbie spinner. I've spun two small skeins thus far. I am hooked already! I already know I want a wheel. Poor DH, he just rolls his eyes.
