Purl 2 tog, put the yarn in back, and then purl 2 tog. You'll get a yo increase between the two p2 togs.

does amy's video way work too?? she says to wrap the yarn around counterclockwise and bring back to the place where it would be. is sthat the same effect?

Amy's video where she wraps it around again is when you are doing a yo for a purl when you are doing a knit row.

If you are doing knits, and you need to do k1, yo, p1, you need to wrap it twice.

If you are doing a p, yo, p, you just need to bring it to the back.
