Doubling a pattern?
Can I double a pattern (kind of like doubling a recipe)? I made this shawl
http://www.patonsyarns.com/data/patt...ction_1019.pdf but it was too small for me so I gave it to my SIL. I really want one for myself so I was thinking that if I just made it twice as big then it'd be perfect. Does doubling a pattern work just like it sounds?

For something like a shawl, I'd think it would be ok.
