Hi there,

If I am knitting the smallest size, does this pattern interpret that I am to increase one stitch at both ends of every ninth row ONLY ONCE?

Inc 1 st at each end of every 9th (8th,8th)row 1 (2,5) time(s), then every 10th (9th,0th) row 2 (2,0) times to 32 (34,36) sts.
