get a couple balls of white yarn and some funky ribbony ones as well, get your self size 50 needles and make an afghan fast. ( this would go fast and be sturdy if you use like 3 yarns together)
the facecloths would be cool and you can add fancy soap and bubble bath, and why not add a headband for holding the hair back while washing the face with that nifty soap and washcloth.
Make a recipe book with nice fonts and colored paper, can add a couple wooden spoons and some dishcloths and a couple double stranded pot holders.

make a knitted envelope and insert a cd of love songs
how about a certificate to take knitting classes,...... ok maybe not.
