Newbie Susie needs help with sweater. :o)
Hi Newbie Susie here!
I just started to add the yellow to the sweater I'm making.
http://www.iseespots.com/iseespots/images/ykd21.gif
I was told to count each "V" as a row. I did the 16 rows of the blue/white. The next thing I'm suppose to do is get two rows of yellow.
I just knitted a row of yellow and purled a row of yellow so I assumed that was two rows but there is just one "V" so do I repeat the knitting one row and purling one row to get another "V" and that means even though I knitted four times I got two rows?
Here is a photo of what I have now.
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...81727666uTXzTW
So do I knit one row and purl one row to get the other row?
AM I confused or what?????? This is fun and thanks for all of your help,
Susie

Once you continue on (I assume with the other color again) you WILL see the two rows of V's, having done exactly what you did, you knitted one row, purled one row. When you knit your next row, the yellow stitches that are currently on the needle will drop down, for lack of a better term, to form the second row of V's.

Does that make sense??

Ah ha, so a row is a row. That makes perfect sense.
Ok, I'm going to add in the blue now and see if I end up with two "V"'s!
Thanks so much.

Mary,
Cute how your name is the same as my Mom's and Mother-In-Law's and my MIL's last initial is "S".
Sorry to hear you were sick. I hope you are all better today.
THanks for the birthday wishes.
Susie
