YES, I finally did it!!!
I have always twisted my stitches the way I knit. It has always bothered me so I do more knitting in the round so it comes out right. Anyway, I finally taught myself to knit the "right" way. I have been trying to do this for 2 years now. Something just clicked this time. Last time everything seemed too awkward to do. Now I got it and I can knit my son a sweater I have been wanting to try. Happy, Happy!

Thank you. Humblestumble, isn't it great? I do alot of charity knitting and I was always afraid to give things that looked like that. I learned to use dpns so my mittens would look 'right'. I was sure some knitter would look at it and say that it wasn't done right, so I learned to knit all my hats that should have a seam in the round. The advatage was that I don't have to sew seams in them anymore. :D

yayyyy!!!!!!!!! that's awesome! go buy some yarn to celebrate!

sometimes you just dont get the click... then you just have to be satisfied that what you're doing works for you. KK told me in May that I purl funky (i mant ot have someome take a picture yesterday but forgot!)... i hold the needles "weird", which i do, and i still throw even though i knit left handed. Anyway, it works for me, so i'm not changin!

remember, internette, what is right for someone else might be all wrong for you! do it how you're comfortable... no sense in stressing out because you're trying to change!

That is so true. I have had many people who thought that they could show me and it was always awkward (I hold the yarn in my left hand and it made people nuts). I found instructions in the back of my afghan book that made everything make sense.

Hi Everyone,

May I ask a question on this subject? What is twisting your stitches? Is that when a stitch will overlap another one. I'm asking because that happens to me from time to time. I am curious as to what twisting your stitches means.

I love this site, everyone is so patient and helpful.

Thanks, Evelyn :D
