I can't add any more comments than all the others re: Janet Evanovich! She is the best! I'm on the waiting list at the library for #12.

For those of you who love Patricia Cornwell, you will also like anything by Kathy Reichs or Tess Gerritson, too.

Jodi Picoult is one of my all-time favorites.

Did anybody already mention Wally Lamb? He wrote "She's Come Undone" and "I Know This Much is True" which are both FANTASTIC reads.

If you liked the Little House books when you were a kid, you might like reading books by Jeanette Oake (sp?)

My current favorite author is Elizabeth Berg. RUN to the library and take out anything they have by her. You will be so happy you did. Any woman will really resonate with any book of hers. Wonderful!
I also like anything on life after death, near-death experiences, hypnosis, meditation, stuff like that.

Oh!! Thank to all of you who mentioned Jodi Picoult. My neighbor had mentioned her to me because she thought I'd enoy Keeping Faith. I've heard she's a great author.

Wow ... I haven't been reading much lately, but I have such a long list of favorites, and I can't remember what I've already posted here and I'm trying to fix dinner *and* read this @ the same time ... stooopid. I need to go.

I put the Jodi Picoult book on hold @ the library, though.

The kids & I just finished listening to Peter and the Starcatchers in the car ... great story! Lots of fun!

I'm not too far into it, yet, Jan, but so far I'm enjoying it! I'm actually "pre-reading" it for the kids.

I love love love love her. Absolutely my favorite author of all time. I have all of her books and always lend them to the gals in my family.

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult is such a good read.

Margaret Atwood is one of my all-time favorite authors.
For the most part, I stick with reading the classics. When I want some mind-candy, I really enjoy Augustus Buroughs, Tom Robbins, and Kurt Vonnegut.

Right now I'm reading Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer.
