Scrunchable scarf

I'm looking for a CLOSE UP picture of Kelly's "scrunchable scarf" k2, p1 throughout.

Oh man, I started that last night......I have a smaller ball of way cool yarn so I am making mine skinny and long......it is so easy and so cute.....I need to run out the door but if nobody posts a picture, I will take a close up of mine. I would definitely recommend it for a quicky scarf pattern.

Hm......ok, Kelly riddle me this.....the pattern I had said to cast on a multiple of 3, plus one on each edge for selvage. So because I am going skinny on this due to yarn constraints, I cast on 8. Kelly, how many did you cast on??? And question 2, what is that yummy yarn that you used???

Here is mine....knit in K2 P1.....it looks totally different (and I still like how it works, am not going to frog it)

I finally me someone who lives down the road from me and she likes to knit too. So, she helps me.

We had a little dilema about the pattern of this scarf but these pics. have really helped me and I will send this page to her to see too.

I used Bernat Denimstyle....its a worsted. I cast on 20-something sts (23??). I used the selvedge for a slip-stitch edge. Yours is not going to look the same because you are doubling yarn. I think it looks FABULICIOUS!!

Actually my yarn is QUADRUPLE yarn! There is this store in Cleveland, where they mix yarns up and put them in balls....way cool, anyway, they sell these selvedge ends too for 3 bucks....many of the ends are plenty long enough for a scarf. The balls themselves are enough for a poncho. I have bought three of the big balls and numerous of the selvedges - that scarf that Kyle modeled came from there and I have another one that is huge to make into a scarf for my SM.

Maybe thats what it is. It doesnt look like yours, which IS fab, but I like it anywhoo!

Kelly, did you use just one strand of the Denimstyle? Do you recall what size needle did you use, was it the one recommended on the label or did you go bigger for a looser stitch? How wide did yours end up being?

I just finished this scarf on Saturday too!

Mine was in Crystal Palace Musique in the Lagoon colorway (greens, blues, and a little purple).

I used size 9 needles and cast on 26 stitches. Musique is a thick/thin yarn and the effect was great! It ended up being about 6 1/2 inches wide, and I made it 60 inches long. Looks great from both sides!

I also made a slightly modified version of Marnie's Nautilus hat to go with it, and they're for my 16 yo niece for Xmas.

(I know, pictures. Still working on the camera angle - Xmas present (fingers crossed)!)
