OMG! That is the COOLEST thing I have ever seen! I've NEVER seen this "illusion" knitting before. Wicked!

Bookmarking those patterns so I can add that to my "things to knit" journal. Damn, that's gonna be the next thing I do as soon as I finish my sweater.

Thanks for the cheers everyone. The scarf is finished and blocked now but I've yet to take the pics and upload for you all to see.

Kome, the scarf is not the same on both sides, unfortunately. Instead it's a different stripey (like garter stitch) pattern on the back, hope that explains it.

It's finished.
I've finished the scarf, YAY! I'm glad that the blocking worked out okay, now It's properly flat. Pics are below, more info (and picture of the back of the scarf) is in my blog.
