You're going to divide your stitches onto three dpns, and you'll knit with the fourth. Probably the easiest way to do this and keep track is to just slip the stitches onto each dpn as if to purl. Do the first third of the stitches on to the first needle, then the next third on the second needle, etc. Then you're yarn will be at the beginning of the first needle ready to knit.
