different gage while knitting in the round
I am a fairly new knitter who has just started knitting hats and such on my fantastic boye circular set. I knit with the yarn in my left hand, so I am a loose knitter by default, but I was wondering if it's normal to get a very different gage when knitting in a circle.

I just knit the band of a hat with DK weight yarn. I used size two needles and tried to knit as tightly as I could, and it's still a mess. totally loose. am I doing something wrong?

It WILL probably be a bit different, because you arent purling. Most everyone purls with a slightly differnt tension than they knit. SO, since circular knitting doesnt require any purling, get the picture!
