Pattern size not large enough

In the following pattern, the largest size is 18-24mo. I need to make these in a size larger. Can anybody help me make adjustments to the pattern as needed. I have recently started knitting and haven't figured out how to do that yet!

The pattern is called "Blu" and is one of knitty.com's current patterns. It's a pair of infant knitted blue jeans.

There seem to be 3 stitches between each size. You could try to increase every number by three.

Or you can try going up a needle size and see if the fabric is acceptable to you--that will enlarge the pattern. I can't say how much, exactly, but I did that with a child's sweater because it was recommended in the pattern, and it did make it bigger by a size, at least.
