[quote="Jazzmatazz"]I've only made a sleeveless top knit entirely in the round. This Bob pattern looks okay for a beginner's top, don't you think? Has anyone made it?

Well the finished chest measurement is 40" for my size (small), and I have a measurement of 36" so as long as the finished size isnt bigger than that i don't really care...plus the pattern is ribbing...I don't like gauges.

Waiting For Yarn and Pattern
I will be late in getting started on my sweater. I ordered my yarn and several diffrent patterns and they havent arrived as of yet, but I will catch up........ =)

I tried to knit up a free pattern with some thin sport weight yarn, cast on 242 stiches , working 20 rows but the sweater was way to limp and was looking like a fishing net.......... soooooo im forced to wait for my yarn.

Pouting Sadly Wanting To Knit My Sweater .............. :(

KK if you take the number of stitches you're supposed to have at the bottom of the armhole shaping and myltiply that by YOUR gauge and then the gauge in the pattern, you should be able to see the diffeence. That shoul dbe slose to the same number of stitches across the bustline

Man, the more I look at Tubey, the more I like that sweater. I'm not sure that it would look good on me though... all those WIDE stripes right around the middle.... it might make people go "HOLY crap, here comes Hildie's Boobs!!!!! Oh yeah, hildie is behind them....."

LOL I was thinking the exact same thing, or else there would be some sort of exposure going on, the reason I don't do low neck lines..lol

well it's not actually the low cut part it's just the fact that I dont' know that i want some tight ribbing across my chest. I might as well hang blinking red lights from my nipples. Not to mention that horizontal stripes are NOT flattering to us fluffy gals.

I wonder if I could do it all in a black or brown and just put stripes on the sleeves?
