Lady M, congratualtions!!!!!!!!!! That is *so awesome*. I totaly admire your will-power! I've lost 79 pounds over the last year (since the third week in January), but I still have lots of problem areas I'd like to hide too :-)

Have you tried Ample Knitters ? This pattern might work for you. You might also want to look at knitting pattern central and browse their patterns. Remember, too, to look at the measurements given instead of the size given. I'm a voluptuous lady myself :-) and I have to remind myself to do this all the time... and it's so frustrating to see that a pattern have directions for sizes small through 1x, and then realize that the 1x has a bust measurement of 40 inches

Who has a 40inch ONE-EX bust??? sheesh!

ANYWAY, the sexond sweater we do will be a "custom sweater" which yu can tailor to your exact measurements. Perfect for those of us who have something to hide :-)

I did manage to find this image from the back and inserts. :thinking: It's fairly new (2001) so it might be available at a local store, what with the lack of pictures on the internet and all.

OHH!!!! I have the plus size sweater wardrobe. It has a GREAT tunic pattern in it, and two other pullovers that I liked. I wouldn't reccommend the tunic for beginning knitters, but the others are very straighforward!!!!

I also have family circle easy knitting plus size knits. It has a few nie things in it, but I would'n t say it's a definite BUY. Get it from the library first.

I want to do this...does anyone know of an easy starter pattern? I don't mind circs and actually prefer them. I know I can go to KPC, but just wondering if you know from experience or whatever.

I think a simple stochinette raglan pullover would be easiest. Check out Knitting Pattern Central , and search for "easy raglan" or "raglan sweater" or "easy pullover". I'm sure you'll find something!

Anne That sweater is so pretty! I couldn't tell you if it is easy or not but I think that it might be worth a try. If you get stuck there is enough videos and people that REALLY know what they are doing (me not being one of them

) that are more than willing to help. I would bet that you could do it!

I think that I may be changing my mind about tubey. I am loving this sweater. :thinking: hmmmm... time to make up my mind I think
