I am attempting the corps of discovery hat...I think I figured out most of the technical stitching questions on my own by trial and error last night. The only question that remains is....Does it make a difference to knit on a 29 inch circular as opposed to the 20 inch recommended in the instructions? Does 9 inches make a difference??? :XX:
Would 9 inches make a difference in the fit? I think so. With circular needles, you can't use needles larger than the actual garment. Your stitches won't fit all the way around. You could use a smaller needle, if need be, as long as the stitches fit, but not that much larger.
