sleeve decreasing: pattern question
Hi, I'm working on a Patons Divine Wrap Cardigan. It's my first sweater. As I was looking at this site for decreases, it said that k2tog is the most common right slanting increase.

My pattern instructions for the upper sleeve says, k2, k2tog. Knit to last 4 sts. Sl1, k1, psso, k2.

Isn't this the opposite? Wouldn't it be putting k2tog where the left-slanting decrease should be? Am I overthinking this?

Your help is very much appreciated! Thanks so much!

There's no 'right' way to decrease on a sleeve. Either way has it's own look, and both look fine.

Thanks Ingrid!
Thank You Ingrid for the response. Your tagline of "Trust the Pattern" is right on.

I finished the first sleeve today and started the second, I can't wait to put it all together. I have so many other patterns I want to do!

Thanks again for your help. My kids (ages 7, 4, and 2) love your picture.

April
