Just to warn you, Ingrid's sweater is knit in a VERY fine gauge. What is it Ingrid, like 8 sts/inch? That's something like 80 stitches per square inch. That's a lot of knitting, and of course it's all in intricate color pattern!

I don't think I could do that sweater. Not that I wouldn't enjoy it, it's just that I would die of heart failure if it got a stain on it.

It WAS gorgeous though, a real masterpiece, absolutely STUNNING Ingrid.

Thanks! Yes, it's about 7-8 st per inch. I think I calculated close to 100,000 stitches. It's obviously a doable sweater--no special tricks are involved. Just willingness to put a lot of stitches into one project.

That store looks AMAZING, and what a fun get-together! I can't wait to meet so many of you at the IL get-together :D ! However, the yarn store we will be meeting at may be about the size of one of the bathrooms in that yarn store !!

I can't get over how nice everyone seems to be on this forum, and how many people have met in person. You definately don't see that on other sites!

All your yarn looks so yummy!! And Jeremy looks so, um, mature. Yeah. For some reason I always want to picture Jeremy as some young kid. A mature knitter. Like some of us :D Thanks for sharing your adventure and it shows that you really had a good time (and Ingrid you look nothing like your avatar!)

Yes, Amy passed on your message. Wish you could have been there in person! I will say that there was no drinking, puking or pajamas at our get together!
Then what fun could you have possibly had???

Kiddding of course...looks like a FANTASTIC time.

I shaved for the occasion! Might make a little something from the fleece. :rofling: Jeremy is a gracious, mature lawyer. It was so refreshing to see him unabashedly knitting and discussing techniques.
