Ah, Dogs in Knits? I love that book. It's been on my amazon wishlist forever, seems like. This holiday I ended up with Green Mtn Spinnery and Christmas Stockings. Even though I celebrate the Solstice, I couldn't resist the dog stocking pattern. I'm thinking of knitting some for a charity auction for Beagles of New England States (B.O.N.E.S.), a breed rescue group in our area.

This will work in well with one of my New Year's resolutions (actually the only one :D ). It was to use up the big blanket zipper bag of little stray yarn balls that I have stashed in the closet. I can't put any more left overs in it, so I have to use it. Hubby doesn't care about my stash that half fills the closet, but that little bag of balls drives him nuts
