My DH asked me "what do you want to get out of knitting?". My reply was that I wanted to make a felted bag with my initial on it. Then I found your bag and just loved it. Why did I have to show him though???? Now he has an idea of what it's actually supposed to look like.
I guess I will have to get busy with this. Did you use a pattern for your initial or was it free form? I haven't done any intarsia yet and am very curious. Thanks.
"I have to keep on practicing, until I end up with something that I can actually show people and be proud of !"
I used a chart that was in the Paton's book that I got the pattern from. I was a little disappointed with my bag, for several reasons, one because it was my first project, and they never seen to go like you planned, but it was a lot of fun, and I'm already planning one for my MIL and my SIL! The hard part is picking the color combinations!! And if you get the pattern book, there is also a change purse in there that you can make with the leftover yarn. Mine is still drying though. I should have it done this week, and then I'll post a picture!
