What are the best fibers to start with?

I am planning, of course, to pick up some beautiful fibers to spin on my beautiful new wheel....What has everyone had luck with? On my spindle I have had a hard time drafting properly & I have never worked on a wheel at all so I want to purchase a fiber that would be good for a beginner. Any suggestions?
