My all time favorite fibers for spinning are Blue Faced Leicester and Falkland Wool. The Blue Faced Leicester is probably a little more suitable for beginning spinning. Also, colonial wool, especially the blended color rovings, are nice. I order most of my stuff from Copper Moose.
