OT/boring but true post
Knitting is addicting. (I'm ranting here so if you're looking for something juicy or interesting, go answer a different post!)

Anyone who knows me well can attest that I am addicted to my job--I am fascinated by autism and I live to work w/ the students/teachers/families in my area to ensure that they are well supported and "looked after".

Knitting is having the same effect. I can't stop talking about it, doing it, etc.--I even dream about it!

Just a little rant...thanks for "listening".

What's your point. Aren't we ALL like that?

And hence why Amy and Sheldon developed this site... to make sure we were all taken care of, well supported, and looked after.
Thank God!! I have never been so hooked on something as I am knitting! I've been crafty all my life, but I swear.. this seems to give some sort of meaning to my efforts. I hear the same things said by people I know that quilt. I think there is something about knitting, sewing, quilting, and crocheting that people love so deeply because you make things that are useful, enjoyable and really is a task that hasn't changed much over the centuries. The same as your DH's painting, whether on computer or with paints - ain't it grand?

I never really started dreaming about knitting until just recently and now it's happening every night! Why in fact, just last night I had this dream where I was supposed to go pick up some beer and the beer run turned into a knitting supply run.

My DH even had a dream about knitting last night -- well, kind of... He dreamt that he "borrowed" the throw that I'm working on and covered up with it and when he woke up, it was just a pile of yarn and he was all tangled up in it! He actually went downstairs to see if he had somehow unraveled my project in the middle of the night before he told me about it!

Id LOVE to hear what a therapist thinks of THAT one, Josie!

I am only afraid Im turning into a boring person to my non-knitting friends....all I talk about anymore is Knitting and Dogs, Dogs and Knitting. And knitting. And dogs. Its not a problem when I hang out with you guys, or when I hang at the LYS, but none of our long-time frineds are knitters.

And, I dream about knitting ALL the time now!

My husband and son find it very amusing that I dream about knitting. I haven't had any "fun" knitting dreams though (like dreaming about a shopping spree at my LYS). My dreams are all about me actually knitting! Knitting is really all I want to do right now. That means I *should* get off this board and finish my work so I can knit!

I haven't had one yet either. I have been knitting for three years. This month is my knitiversary. When I am not knitting, I am on this site reading about knitting! :-)
