Where would you buy snaps for a felted bag?

I'm making a felted bag. It's my first felting project. It's "Meema's Bag" from the original Stitch n' Bitch book.

Where would you buy large snaps to put on a felted bag and how do you get them on there anyways?

I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but it's a start.

If you Google sew-on snaps, lots of places come up. I'd imagine that someplace like Joann's--any fabric store, really--would carry sew on ones.
