Dropped Stiches on double points

I'm make a hat that is knitted in the round. I didn't have a circular neddle that was short enough so I'm using doulble points. It's all knitted and it was going great but then a dropped a stich. It unraveled to almost the beginning what do I do?!?!? I can pick up dropped stiches when they are right there but I've never done it this far down. I really don't want to start over.

You can use a crochet hook to pick up a stitch even if it goes down to the bottom of your knitting. Here is a video that shows it.
