first time binding off top back of vest... help!
Um, I just know this is really straightforward but I'm hoping someone (ha) will tell me if I got it right exactly coz I want this to be a superb vest for my DH. I've only made one sweater many years ago and I forgot...

So I'm knitting the back of this vest and I'm at the top where you bind of 4 stitches on either side got that then
it says decrease 1 stitch each side every other row 4 times.

So, right after I do those 2 bind off rows, I immediately
decrease 1 beg of next row, then at the end of that row..... then skip decreasing the next row then do it again 3 more times. sound good?

And, is it alright to just knit or purl 2 together the first 2 stitches, then the last 2 stitches on that same row? I started doing this but then remembered often when you decrease at edges you're supposed to do it one stitch in. Whew,
ok, that's a lot of words for something that's probably really simple..... but I want to make sure I do it righ!

thanks for any help

We meet again!

You've got it right. I'd do the decreases on the end--this way when you add edging, it won't show. If you were seaming, then one stitch in is good for that.
