Need color help for a baby sweater.
I have two baby showers coming up quickly. So I need to get some gifts made and was hoping to use yarn I have on hand. I found this little sweater at knit picks using sock yarn. http://www.knitpicks.com/Projects/Pr...yarnid=5420113

I have enough of this yarn on hand to make a sweater for each baby. But I don' t know about the colors.

One baby is a girl. The other we don't know.

I have 2 balls of snapdragon and two bals of autumn.

I LOVE that they aren't traditional colors. But wonder which to give which baby.

Snapdragon would be fabulous for a girl. And autumn would be great if mystery baby turns out to be a boy...but do you think it would be good for a girl?

I think Autumn would work...especially if she wore it in...Autumn! Seriously, to my eye, I think either color would work for either gender.

Oh I want to do that project so badly! I may try it with some yarn I already have though, I need to do some stash reduction first, but I want to do the Snapdragon for my baby girl! Please post pictures of your finished ones!

Will you know the gender of the mystery baby before or after the gift is given? If it ends up being a girl, you could girlify the Autumn with maybe a ribbon accent, especially the peachy color, or something like that.

I'd do the snapdragon for the girl, and autumn for the one they're not sure of, either way, I think it'll work....I say go for it....Those colors will make a gorgeous little sweater!!

After. The shower is in a little over a week and baby isn't due for about a month.

I think this is a great idea! You could just thread a ribbon through it and it would make it cute and girly! Maybe little flower buttons, too. Good idea, gardenmommy!

I like the Autumn color... I think it will work for both, boy or girl... specially because of the peachy mix...

Both would look great on either gender. I would got with the snap dragon on the girl, and then the autumn on the baby soon to be out.

The "peach" is really more orange in person. But I think it will work. I got my start on it today! Now just to get it done in a week!
