Favorite most soft cotton yarn?
I want to make a friends daughter an apron top in soft cotton for the summer. Any yarn suggestions? Some of the cottons I've felt in the local craft stores feel a little scratchy.

Thanks!

Knit picks has some nice cottons. Shine is really nice and soft. Fun summery, girly colors too. Crayon is also cotton although I haven't yet purchased any crayon so I can't comment on how it feels.

The softest cotton I've ever laid my hands on is Manos del Uruguay Cotton Stria. Yuuuummmmm...but a bit pricey! I do like Knitpicks Shine -- soft, pretty colors, and you can't beat the price.

I love cotton tots too--when I was preggo I had my mom make several blankets for dd. I just bought some blue and white cotton tots to make a friend some booties.

I like Cotton Classic.
click on the pic to see more colors.
100% cotton. it has a nice sheen.
IIRC it was about $5.50 per hank.

Another vote for CottonTots here with a side vote for Patons Grace. It's a DK/sport weight and feels like heaven whether you are crocheting or knitting with it. It has a touch of sheen that gives it a classier look than typical cottons, and slides like butter through your fingers no matter how dry your skin is.
