help with chevron pattern
I am trying to work with a new pattern but I am having trouble finishing each row with the proper amount of stitches. I think I am misreading the pattern, can someone make sense of this.

Chevron Stitch (multiple of 12 sts plus 3)
Row 1 (RS): K1, ssk, *k9, sl2-k1-p2sso; rep from *, end k9,k2tog,k1.

Row 2 (WS): K1, *p1, k4, (k1, yo, k1) in next st, k4; rep from * , end p1, k1

Rep rows 1-2 for Chevron stitch.

ssk

sl2-k1-p2sso=slip two stitches one at a time as if to knit, knit one stitch, then pass the two slipped stitches over the one that you knit and off the tip of the needle.

(k1, yo, k1) in next st,=knit in next stitch, but don't slide it off, bring the yarn forward between the needles and knit in the same stitch again, then slide it off

Row one:

k1, ssk (as above), *k9, sl2-k1-p2sso, *--do stitches between * until you have 12 left on your needle, then k9, k2tog, k1

Row two:

k1, *p1, (k1, yo, k1) in next st, k4*--repeat between * until you have 2 st left on the needle, p1, k1

Make sense?
