About Norwegian Purl stitch
I was reading what Amy wrote about this method of purl stitch. I found it interesting, because when I was first learning to knit, back in grade school (I'm in my early 20's now), my grandmother taught me to purl in this method. I was intrigued when she said that no one she knew had heard of this method. I live in Texas, and my grandmother has spent most of her life in Oklahoma. I was wondering if perhaps, seeing as she learned how to knit from her mother and grandmother who were both German, if this stitch if also commonly used in Germany. Also, how else learned how to purl stitch using this method?
