Losing stitches and I don't know why!!!!

I've cast on 48 sts
my pattern is: (k8, k3tog, yo, M1, K1, M1, yo, k3tog tbl, k7) twice, k4. I'm following the pattern but always end up short the last 4 and I'm at loose ends!!! HELP!

that's cuz there aren't enough stitches there. when you do the part in the parenthesis 2 times you use 48 stitches if i count right. are you missing those last four stitches to knit?

oh yeah it says right there you are missing the four. if you count everything but the YO in the parenthesis that is 24 stitches....and of course twice is 48.

okay one more post. i bet those are suppose to be k2tog cuz there is only one YO to make up for it. if you do that then the four stitches come back
