Hi ya'll, long time no chat. So I'm knitting gloves from Ann Budds "Knitters handy book of patterns". I'm on page 19 for those who can follow along..
1. On the thumb gusset increase, do I move the thumb gusset stitches to waste thread right after the last increase or do I do that after I've increased and knitted the next rounds required ("increase in this manner every 3 rounds)...so increase + 2 rounds and THEN move gusset stitches off needles??? Or right after the increase??
2. Before the thumb gusset she instructs to inc 1 stitch at the end of the round, leaving me with (in my case) 49 stitches. After the gusset stitches are taken off the needle I still have 49 stitches since the increased stitch is not in the thumb gusset. Clear so far? Well then she instructs to CO a stitch to close up the thumb gusset gap on the next round and says that my total stitches should then be 49. But I already had 49, it should be 50 now right? Is this a typo or am I misunderstanding something??
