I usually use 2 sets of dpns and do both socks at once. I have the book about using 2 circulars, but it doesn't make sense to me. I like the dpns though.

I'ma die hard two-circ knitter -- I do them one at a time but I always knit the second sock right after the first. No orphans yet! :D

I like both ways. I'd think some patterns are best for dpns and some are best for circs. Here's where I learned to do the two circ method.

I use two circs, and knit one sock at a time. I am interested in learning about the 2 socks at a time method, though! I just started a pair of socks last night. I learned with Cat Bordhi's book. It was hard to get at first, but once I caught on, there was no turning back! The yarn I am using now is sooooo pretty- Mountain Colors bearfoot yarn, in all shades of purples. The pattern I am trying is called "columbine peak", and it is in the book.

I have that site bookmarked. Now I guess would be a good time to figure it out with everyone else out playing in the snow. I have another good quiet hour to go.

I am knitting my first pair of socks, one at a time, on 2 circulars, toe-up. An adventure!

Well I cast on #2 today (and that first row is always the hardest for me ---DOH!) and used Nicolethegeek's idea of one needle for the cast on stitches, and when you knit off it, you knit onto your dpn's (she needs to explain this better hehehehe) and my second sock is working merrily along while I watch DVR'd Monk. No kids home tonight. Life is good!

I'm a Magic Loop girl. I would have voted for it if it had been a choice.

That's OK. I still got to voice my opinion. By the way, I love Monk. Friday's episode was hilarious. I love Laurie Metcalf. I just knew she would be great and she did not disappoint.
