Jacquard Stitch?

I have an Anny Blatt pattern that calls for jacquard stitch on the bottom band of a sweater. The picture looks like intarsia. Is jacquard just another name for it? Any leads on how to do jacquard?

I found a couple of patterns on line that call for Jacquard patterning. Looks like intarsia to me.

I met a lady at a knitting group the other day that was showing me an old knitting book that she had. It mentioned jacquard knitting, but it was more like fair isle or stranding.
