Knitpicks Parade is sport weight, and Regia has a 6-ply sock yarn. I've knit both with US4 needles.....big enough for you? :D

Well you could dye your own...

Lana Grossa has a lot of sock yarns that are machine washable, but I'm not seeing exactly what their weights are.

Have you checked yarndex.com?

Not sure what your price range is, but Opal has some nice DK weight yarn. Or, check out Fortissima sock yarn. Not sure of the weight, and it may not be the type of *striping* you're looking for....gee, that's a bunch a help, huh?

OOH! those Lana Grossa yarns are nice! Will check Opal.

I DID check Yarndex...I wish there was some way to search for sock yarns.....I searched on "sock" and only got, like, 5 results.

Thanks, Ladies!!

Kelly, I wonder if you could search for superwash merino in those weights... that would narrow it down, at least. :D

And ooooh...so pretty: Opal 6-ply

Dagnabit Julie, now why did you have to go and do that?

I like that 1125!

They do have some Regia on sale, but not sure what weight it is, looks like 7 st to the inch, and the Opal is 6, so not THAT much different.

If you want to go cheap, Lion Brand Magic Stripes is sportweight! I'm using it now with size 4 needles. Machine washable too! :D
