Another Pattern Question
Hi,

I'm still working on the throw and have another question about reading this pattern. The pattern starts like this:

Row 1: knit
Row 2: Ssk, *k31, S2KP2; rep from *, end last rep with k2tog - 129 sts rem.
Row 4: Ssk, *k29, S2Kp2; rep from *, end last rep with k2tog - 121 sts rem.

My question is: what happens to Row 3?? Do I just do the same as I did for Row 2??

Thank you!

is it only giving you instructions for even numbered rows? if so then you are probably suppose to knit each odd numbered row.

Thanks for replying.

It actually gives instructions for all the rows EXCEPT row 3.It goes into Row 4, and then 5-32. I just don't know what to do with Row 3.

okay what does it say to do in some of the other rows. i know it will be tedious but can you either copy exactly what it says for the first 10 rows or so, or give us a link if it is online.

I'm getting this pattern from a Knit It magazine.

Here is what it says:

Row 1: knit
Row 2: Ssk, *k31, S2KP2; rep from *, end last rep with k2tog - 129 sts rem.
Row 4: Ssk, *k29, S2Kp2; rep from *, end last rep with k2tog - 121 sts rem. Break color A. Cont in this manner for a total of 32 rows, dec 8 sts on WS rows and working 2 sts fewer between decs - 9 sts rem at the end of Row 32. AT THE SAME TIME, change colors as follows:

Rows 5-10: Color B
Rows 11-16: Color C
Rows 17-22: Color D
Rows 23-32: Color E

Cut yarn and draw yarn through rems sts. Tighten and secure. Sew seams.

That's for 1 square. Does this help?

Based on the fact that the first row is knit, I'd probably start out with knitting all the odd rows, also.

However, it could be that all the wrong sides are purled, so I'd say to try it knit, and if it looks like the picture and you like it, then continue that way. If it doesn't, then try purling across the back.
