OT - Poll: How many of us are educators?
So I am wondering how many of us are teachers/educators? If you aren't in teaching, please answer anyway, and choose "other" so we can see what percentage of us are in education. Thanks!

I'm a SAHM. So I guess one could argue I am in the 'Educator: Other' category...LOL (I selected not in education)

I think you qualify on principal! Home schoolers would also qualify as in education.

I put educator: other, because as a minister a large part of my work responsibility is education. I primarily teach classes for adults, incl. special classes for older adults and college students, but occasionally I teach children and teenagers as well.

I've been a TA in regular elementary and self-contained special ed elementary, and for the past 7 years in an alternative HS program for students with emotional, psychiatric and behavioral problems who can't function in the regular high school setting.

My favorite was in the self-contained elementary, but they mainstreamed all the kids and made it a pull-out program.

How timely! I was wondering about this just this morning when I saw Ingrid mentioned "school". :study:

I'm a student!

I put "not in education" though teaching, either at the high school or university level is a possibility once I get down with my absurd amount of schooling.

I know there are a lot more of us teachers. I can think of four off the top of my head and several home schoolers. Where is everyone?

I said not in ed, however, I could make several arguments that I am/have been. First, I'm a parent, and I think that should be an automatic qualifier. (If not, how good a parent would I be?) I have done all sorts of child/special needs care in the past, also.
