Sorry, I can't give out the pattern- it is a published Fiber Trends pattern. I learned to knit at the end of October and consider myself to be maybe intermediate- due only to the fact that I read everything I can on this website! I thought the pattern was very easy to follow and understand. Probably the hardest part is picking up stitches around the little triangle portion to attach it to the rolled brim- otherwise it is a straight forward roll brim hat.
I made the medium size listed on the pattern and used cheap-o Red Heart yarn- the colors look better IRL- I think I lightened the pic too much before posting it. I would say it will fit around a 2-3 year old of average size. I have absolutely no one in mind for it. I just wanted to make it.
