shoulder shaping
I made a majpr boo boo, and I am majorly pissed!

I was supposed to bind off 8 stitches 6 times, but have only cast off 6 stitches 4 times, soooo can I just bind off 14 each side for the next 2 rows? Or do I have to frog it and do it proper?

I am just wondering bout the seaming (and look)for the shoulder.
BTW, it is for a three year old girl, so if it is tooooo much work, I would rather cheat (esp seeing as it will be sewn in later anyway)!
TIA
Katy

If it were me......
I'd take the easy way out. She's going to out grow it fast enough.
I'm assuming you're working on the back.

If I were do it.....
I'd write down how I did the binding off on the back
and do the shoulders on the front the same way.

Actually, and I can't believe I forgot to mention this, but I am doing the one shoulder. The other shoulder is ok, so will it look uneven or funny?

thanks!

I would have said it didn't matter as long as they were all the same. Without seeing it, I can't really say. Use your judgement and decide if they're really that different. Taking out bind offs isn't that difficult, and there aren't that many, so if you don't think they'll be good enough, then you do have that option.

If they're close enough and you think you can fudge with a little seaming if necessary, then leave it. Like you said, it's a kid's sweater, and kids' aren't particular.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, that's different.

In that case, I'd un-knit the "wrong shoulder" and do it "right".
It's not that many rows.

Please notice what my signature is at the bottom of my posts. :rofling:
I think I frog some on everything I knit. More than 40 froggin' years.
